Antonia Mendoza

Meet Antonia, a dynamic student and teacher in the world of Jiu Jitsu who discovered her passion for martial arts later in her life. Embarking on her Jiu Jitsu journey at the age of 32, she brings a unique perspective and powerful story of self-discovery to her role as an instructor. Antonia was motivated by the inspiring journey of watching her daughters learn Taekwondo and decided to jump into Jiu Jitsu. Despite having been a dedicated young athlete in soccer since the age of 5, Jiu Jitsu revealed a new dimension of strength and resilience within her. The art of Jiu Jitsu became a conduit for her to build trust and confidence in herself that extends both in and beyond the dojo. As a testament to her dedication, Antonia is passionate about teaching young kids to not only learn techniques but to personally celebrate individual and collective growth, resilience, and untapped potential within each individual. Outside of Jiu Jitsu, Antonia is a full-time Pre-K educator and brings many of those skills into her teaching style.
